PETER H. OSTERHOUT
INTRODUCTION
Peter Osterhout is the co-founder and CEO of HireKnowledge®, a Rhode Island-based national staffing services company with a focus on creative and technical computer personnel. He also co-founded and has served since December 2002 as CEO of Brain Objects®, a subsidiary company which designs and develops Internet and desktop software solutions to improve overall workflow efficiencies for key staff, and departments, to increase company wide profits and productivity.
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
In his 20-plus years of management experience, Peter has refined government and business forms processes, dramatically improving operating margins at HireKnowledge and its client companies by enabling direct input of data through web and desktop computer interfaces.
A complete forms process automation system for the staffing industry was created by Brain Objects that integrated HireKnowledge’s existing back office functionality with the requirements of web based data gathering. This solution become known as KnowledgePlace. An example of KnowledgePlace’s “customer staffing request form” can be seen here: http://www.hireknowledge.com/popup/forms/Staff_Request/requeststaff.html
Previously a HireKnowledge® staffing request could only be made via telephone, during normal business hours, with no real benefit of internet or computer technology. The inbound customer order could be lost or misinterpreted and possibly forgotten about if the customer service rep failed to perform their job.
The live publishing of those customer staffing requests could be instantly viewed through the job opportunity section of HireKnowledge’s website and can be seen here: http://216.41.52.80/forms/jobsearch.a4d?a=p. This job request publishing capability allowed countrywide integration of branch office job opportunity listings that resulted in accelerated staffing service turnaround. The matching of customer staff requests and those seeking employment became a system that freed HireKnowledge® from the drudgery of administration and focused them on performing their jobs quicker and at a higher satisfaction level to those being served.
Many businesses today still do things the hard way, despite all their investment in computer technology. Brain Objects is available to companies who wish to leverage their existing investment in technology into something truly functional and more beneficial.
Automation and web site integration of sales, marketing and financial processes are critical for businesses to stay competitive. Brain Objects’ paper forms automation and workflow reduction techniques, and web applications development are just a few examples that demonstrate their wide base of capabilities.
